UChicago Impact is seeking a School Leadership Coach to join the 5Essentials team. The School Leadership Coach will work directly with a group of 10-12 schools in CPS to provide high-quality coaching and support for leadership team members to drive improvements in school organization and culture. UChicago Impact Leadership Coaching builds the capacity of the school principal and school leadership team through tailored, consistent, and embedded coaching and professional learning. Our approach integrates research, data, and leadership development into the daily realities and challenges of each school. Through this model and approach, our coaches advance the development of school organization, school culture and, ultimately, student learning.


Future Leaders of Chicago- Program Facilitators

floChicago seeks to create intersections for high school students with new people, places, and perspectives to help them develop as leaders. We seek ambitious and passionate individuals to serve as Program Facilitators (PFs). PFs will work closely with students during the summer program and throughout the following school year. The PF position is mostly a part-time position, except during the week of July 28th – August 4th when they facilitate the week-long leadership program.


Instruction Partners- Director of Instructional Support, Flexible location

The DIS will support a network of schools and systems to improve instruction for students and develop cross-school programs and solutions to target common challenges. The DIS will manage a team of content experts to support the work in a subject-specific way. The DIS reports to the Executive Director. The DIS will:

  • -Support a portfolio of schools and charter systems to improve instruction in core academic subjects and support student growth
  • -Lead system instructional reviews to diagnose needs and develop a comprehensive sense of partners’ approaches, assets and needs
  • -Work closely with partners to develop actions plans in line with their values and resources to support instructional improvement
  • -Build relationships with school and system leaders to support implementation of action plans and adjust course where needed


The Director, Institutional Giving serves as the primary grant-writer for the Teach For America ∙ Chicago-Northwest Indiana Development operation. The Director will manage a portfolio of existing and lapsed annual gifts up to $100,000 across corporate and foundation funding and will oversee the grant writing for our government partnerships. The ideal candidate will have an interest in front-line fundraising as well as a passion for Teach For America’s mission and a developed, nuanced understanding of how to communicate our mission to funders, ensuring alignment in funding requests to partner motivations, our organizational theory of change, and our strategic direction. 


Progressive Turnout Project (PTP)- Fellows Program Coordinator

The Fellows Program Coordinator will work with the Executive Director, Communications Director, and National Field Director to create an action plan for the fellows program as well as any and all training materials for the fellows program. The Fellows Program Coordinator will connect with endorsed candidates’ campaigns and recruit fellows from targeted districts. In early fall, the Fellows Program Coordinator will convene online or regional fellows training sessions and then track program metrics between the program launch and Election Day.


Big Shoulders Fund - Chicago- Various Positions

Part-Time, Contract Literacy Coach:

Direct teacher coaching for 3-8 schools in the Big Shoulders Fund Literacy Initiative. Coaching for teachers in grades Pre-K-8 in Lucy Calkins Units of Study for Writing, Lucy Calkins Units of Study for Reading, and the Reading Workshop Model. Meetings with school admin as needed to ensure effective implementation of reading and writing instruction. Would be required to attend PD with Chicago Literacy Group. Athlos Academies- Chief Academic Officer

The Chief Academic Officer of Athlos Academies reports directly to the President of Education Services and is responsible for implementing and overseeing all initiatives related to maintaining and improving the academic performance of the students in the network of Athlos Academy schools according to charter contract goals. This position provides achievement strategies and processes for school leaders that best supports the academic, social, and emotional learning of students, as well as incorporate instructional practices to develop the instructional staff and leadership team based on areas identified as essential to cultivating a school culture that maximizes the learning outcomes for all students.

New Schools For Chicago- Data Analyst

The Data Analyst supports New Schools for Chicago in developing, rolling out, monitoring and improving data systems and tools for the organization. These analytics will serve both as internal fact-checks around school performance, choice behavior, community data, and more, as well as providing a concrete foundation for addressing and shaping broader educational policy.

The Data Manager (DM) will be responsible for providing strategic oversight in three critical areas: constituent data entry and management, data analysis and reporting, and prospect research. Ensuring all data processes are configured optimally, the DM will work closely with the development team to help maintain reliable, accurate, and consistent data. In addition, the DM is responsible for managing and executing prospect research for individuals, foundations, and corporations to support the relationship managers. As such, the DM will be required to produce consistent giving reports and prospect profiles to advance the strategies of the development team.


Urban Alliance- Program Coordinator


The Program Coordinator supports the students’ mentors and the student interns in their professional development as well as assists them with their post-high school planning. This position reports to the Program Director. We are seeking a candidate who is planning to dedicate a minimum of 2 years to this position.


Perspectives Charter Schools- Assistant Director of Development

The Assistant Director of Development at Perspectives Charter Schools is part of the External Affairs team and reports to the Senior Director of Development. The Assistant Director conducts a variety of essential functions and projects for Perspectives’ fundraising efforts, including managing all corporate partnerships, the Perspectives annual Gala and annual giving program, and individual and foundation donor relationships. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned fundraiser who is a creative and detail-oriented self-starter and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills are essential. Perspectives Charter Schools- Database and Donor Relations Coordinator

Perspectives Charter Schools is seeking a Database and Donor Relations Coordinator to support the External Affairs (EA) department. The Database and Donor Relations Coordinator is responsible for the administration and management of Perspectives Little Green Light (LGL) database as well as the review, maintenance, and reporting of system information. Responsibilities include but not limited to: gift entry, receipt and acknowledgments; the review and maintenance of biographical data; maintenance of donor records and stewardship requirements; and research and information analysis. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the care and maintenance of the donor files (both electronic and paper), the Annual Report lists, and Donor Boards. The Database and Donor Relations Coordinator will report to the Senior Director of Development.
