Content week is five days of training and preparation before you begin teaching summer school. This is where you'll begin engaging in your teacher development. You'll be working with your coaches and other corps members who teach the same content as you to prepare for the first day of summer school. This looks like practicing lessons, rehearsing teaching techniques, and giving and receiving feedback about your lesson modeling, all in the aim of setting the foundation for your growth the rest of summer. It's a week where you'll get a lot of information, but a lot of time to practice and internalize that information. You’re not going to be an expert by the end of content week, but you will start to build the muscle memory of a strong teacher. You’ll also build relationships with your summer school corps members and staff since you’ll start teaching summer school the next week!
