TOC, talkin' it out (for and by educators of color)

  • East-West University 829 South Wabash Avenue Chicago, IL 60605 (map)

“TOC, talkin’ it out” is an event focused on celebrating and connecting teachers of color across the state of Illinois! Tickets are limited to educators of color (currently in the classroom/school setting) in order to build camaraderie with a focus on amplifying the voices of those oftentimes left unheard. Join us for an evening dedicated to celebrating our various identities and the work we put into the classroom on a daily basis. Tickets must be purchased prior to attending the event.

The cost of a ticket supports creatives of color sharing their passion with us.

This includes:

- Light appetizers/food (provided by Manny Mendoza of Herbal Notes)
- Music (provided by Marcus Elston, “M-Dok”)
- One mixed drink (provided by Javi Garcia, Chicago Mixologist)
- Entertainment (spoken word artist, Sarah Bruno)

*Only 50 tickets are available
