Indiana Content Exams

Indiana Content Exams are on a different timeline than Illinois content exams. In Indiana you must pass a content exam and a pedagogy exam.

If you teach a Secondary subject then you must pass your content exam by December 2024 and the pedagogy exam by June 2025. If you teach Elementary then you must pass both of your exams by June 2025 (depending on your GPA. Reach out to Steven for more clarity). The reason for the difference is that secondary content exams are contents that you already studied in college. The elementary content exam has more teaching methodology questions so we recommend getting experience in the classroom and in your University Partner classes before taking it.
